Our Story
As a young boy, I remember seeing the dynamic duo of my mother and father hosting many of our family members. Throughout our first decade after coming to America as refugees from Laos, our home served as a temporary place of shelter for other Hmong refugee family members who also took the journey to America. Through that experience I remember my mother’s home cooked meals and my father’s hospitality giving life to a home for so many without their own. Each of her distinct dishes still conjures nostalgic memories of family gatherings full of hope and love for everyone who shared our home. And alongside her cooking, my father would offer endless hospitality and kindness that made them the anchor many needed in order to succeed. Since then my father has passed, but out of the desire to keep his memory and my parents generosity alive, I created Aurum Foods. As you travel on the journey of life, Aurum is a place where you can have a little taste of home with quality service no matter where you are.
